This project’s purpose with the maintenance division in NGSA is to reduce the amount of LPOF cables inside the substations in Jeddah. The scope is to remove the oil filled cables from the substations’ boundaries up to the terminations and replace them with XLPE cables, using Nexans transition joints.

These joints are installed in underground bunkers built inside or close to the boundaries of the substations. There are 58 feeders to replace in total all around the city of Jeddah. This project requires the special skills of our oil filled cable jointers.
